Abstract
The viscoelastic behavior of biological soft tissues was extensively investigated. The bioartificial tissues showed a significant force dependence on strain rate. They also showed a dependence on the rest period between stretch cycles. Observations also indicated that bioartificial tissues exhibited complex mechanical behavior that was unlike natural tissues in several respects.
