Abstract

Urethral sounds have historically been used to aid in prostatic excision. We describe a specialized prototype urethral sound (Prostagrip; LSI solutions, Rochester, NY) that is able to grasp and rotate the prostate to expose the neurovascular bundles during laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.
