Urinary retention from urethral calculi in a child with hypospadias

Abstract

Urethral calculi are rare. They are often related to urinary obstruction, neurogenic bladder, or other anatomical variations. This report describes a four-year-old male with urethral calculi secondary to hypospadias and complicated by intermittent episodes of acute urinary retention.
