Abstract

In this correspondence, we investigate linear dependence of steering vectors for arrays comprising multiple electromagnetic vector sensors. We derive upper and lower bounds for the number of linearly independent steering vectors associated with such arrays. These bounds are potentially useful for determining the number of signals whose directions-of-arrival can be uniquely identified.
