Treatment of Legg-Calvé-Perthes Disease by Maintaining Abduction to Allow Dynamic Hip Modeling Through Range-of-Motion Therapy

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

Utilizing stretching, bracing/casting, and adductor tenotomy, a comprehensive approach is given in order to avoid osteotomy in the treatment of LCPD. Intervention needs to be performed with serial evaluation, and intervention may need to be repeated. Dynamic molding with range of motion in stage II is critical in achieving an optimal outcome.
