Abstract
Traumatic wrist instability encompasses a wide spectrum of injuries from the subtle partial ligament tear to the dramatic perilunate dislocation. A timely diagnosis is based on the patient's history and physical examination together with radiographic and advanced imaging studies. Early intervention has been associated with improved patient outcomes.
