Abstract

The inhomgeneous magnetoelectric effect explains electrical polarization in a magnetically ordered crystal having a modulated magnetic structure. The cycloidal magnetic structure in Cr//2 BeO//4 is considered as well as simple and ferromagnetic spirals.
