Abstract
The H-T phase diagram is obtained for an easy-axis antiferromagnet with a strong single-ion anisotropy. The regions of stability of different magnetically ordered phases in the plane of temperature and magnetic field are studied for different values of the exchange interaction constants. Critical points in the phase diagram are obtained. The applicability of the present model to rare-earth metamagnets is discussed.
