Abstract
Traumatic injuries to the distal forearm present a challenging problem for soft tissue coverage. There is a need for a local flap to provide a vascularized soft tissue bed. This article demonstrates the anatomic basis that enables the pronator quadratus muscle potentially to fulfill these needs.
