Abstract

The interaction of cassaine with Na⁺ + K⁺-ATPase appears broadly similar to that of ouabain, and it seems likely that cassaine produces these effects by interacting with the cardiotonic steroid binding sites of Na⁺ + K⁺-ATPase.
