Chapter ObjeCtives By the end of this chapter, the reader will be able to: • Describe the lived experienced of adaptation, coping, and resilience from the perspective of pediatric clients and their caregivers. • Examine common factors, such as sense of self, contexts, and social connections, that may positively or negatively influence client and caregiver perspective of adaptation, coping, and resilience. • Develop a self-awar eness of personal adaptation, coping, and resilience, and be reflective about the delivery of pediatric occupational therapy ser vices through practice, education, and research.
