Abstract

Public Health Significance—Cannabis legalization is expanding and there is a need to develop and implement evidence-based regulations. This paper reviews principles and data gleaned from psychological science that can be used to inform legal cannabis regulation. Relevant scientific literature is discussed from the perspective of the cannabis consumer, the cannabis industry, and the cannabis regulatory agency.
