Abstract
Posterior dislocation of the sternoclavicular joint is associated with a high rate of complications and may require open reduction and stabilization. We present a new technique using anterior tibialis tendon allograft to stabilize the sternoclavicular joint. This technique has been used on 2 patients, and the early clinical results are promising. An important advantage of this technique is the lack of implanted hardware, which eliminates the hazard of hardware migration, a serious concern in the area of the sternoclavicular joint.
