Successful treatment of prosthetic joint infection due to vancomycin-resistant enterococci with tedizolid

Abstract

Few antibiotic options exist for the management of infections due to vancomycin-resistant enterococci. We describe a case involving the safe and successful use of tedizolid, a new oxazolidinone, to treat vancomycin-resistant enterococci prosthetic joint infection.
