Spontaneous rupture of a renal cyst

Abstract

A case in which a large right renal cyst underwent spontaneous rupture into the perinephric space is presented. The ruptured cyst and subsequent reaccumulation of cyst fluid was demonstrated by computed tomography. The varied etiologies for this phenomenon are discussed.
