Abstract
The prevention of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection and colonization starts with adequate hand washing and personal hygiene. Showering after practice or competition should occur as soon as possible. Towels, razors, bar soaps, and clothing should not be shared. Clothing should be laundered in hot water after activity.
