Abstract

A new algorithm for the location and tracking of multiple moving narrowband sources is presented. The algorithm is based on an extension of the signal subspace method of R. O. Schmidt (1979) and nonlinear optimization procedures. The source parameters are estimated directly without evaluating the Doppler-shifted frequencies first.
