Abstract

A numerical algorithm is presented for solving the unsteady compressible Navier-Stokes equations. The solution procedure is based on the Runge-Kutta time-stepping scheme of A. Jameson, W. Schmidt, and E. Turkel. The Baldwin-Lomax algebraic eddy viscosity turbulence model is used. Flowfields over a compression corner at supersonic speeds are computed. Attached and separated flow predictions are compared with experimental data and the calculations of other investigators. (Edited author abstract. )
