Abstract

Malaria is a global health scourge for which a highly effective vaccine remains frustratingly elusive. Recent identification of an endogenous malaria antigen that stimulates robust T_RM-mediated immunity in mice by Valencia-Hernandez et al. strengthens the case for prime-and-trap malaria vaccines and will greatly aid further investigations of cellular antimalarial immunity.
