Abstract

Main text(iScience 25, 103535; January 21, 2022) This article has been retracted at the request of the editor-in-chief. Concerns regarding the numbers of lanes in the blots shown in Figures 3E and 8A were raised on PubPeer (https://pubpeer.com/publications/10CCF5573EC485487C633B246F4F31) by Elisabeth M. Bik. Additional analysis of the images in the article uncovered evidence of undeclared splicing in the tubulin lanes of Figure 1E and overlap between Figures 1B and 9A. The corresponding author was notified of these issues and asked for an explanation. Also, the original, unprocessed data were requested for internal assessment. It was felt that the explanation provided was unsatisfactory in resolving these concerns. The results of the analysis has led the editor-in-chief to lose confidence in the findings of this article. Apologies are offered to readers of iScience that these mistakes were not detected during the submission and review process.
