Abstract
Dr. Rich summarizes selected presentations from the recent American College of Cardiology meeting in Orlando, FL which have direct relevance to the care of elderly cardiac patients. Dr. Amsterdam then discusses 2 recently published articles addressing the purported relationship between cholesterol reduction and the development of cancer. This is followed by an annotated bibliography of the current geriatric cardiovascular literature and a calendar of upcoming meetings and events.
