Abstract

The surgical release for adult spinal deformity requires both bony and soft tissue removal for realignment surgery. These surgical techniques can be powerful tools to allow the surgeon to safely and effectively correct spinal deformity. However, as the complexity of the surgical release increases, so do the complications, and careful surgical planning is critical.
