Abstract

Phase-shift lifetime measurements over a range of modulation frequency have provided data on the effects of the weak predissociation of the A 2+ state. The v′=0 radiative lifetime (850±130 nsec) corresponds to an f(0-0) of 7.7∓1.1×10 -4 in agreement with previous absorption measurements. The higher vibrational quanta show shortened radiative lifetimes due to predissociation.
