Abstract

The dynamic and distributed quality of service (QoS) management functions were analyzed in the avionics applications built using commercial off the shelf (COTS) standards and components. A QoS management architecture that meets the distributed resource management needs of real-time information systems, is described. The results provide an empirical evidence of the suitability and benefits of applying adaptive and dynamic QoS management techniques to real time embedded information systems.
