Abstract

We receive extensive training in the building blocks of clinical medicine, such as pathology and physiology, but basic instruction on many important topics that keep us functioning well in other spheres of our lives is often sorely lacking. Two of these topics are personal finance and maintaining a work-life balance. Both topics are intricate and deserve a chapter (or perhaps a textbook!) on their own, but here we will provide an overview of these topics and point you toward additional resources.
