Abstract
Liver biopsy evaluation remains critical in NAFLD for diagnosis, scientific evaluation, and clinical trials. Histologic features and overall patterns of injury may vary depending on the type of fatty liver disease, the stage of progression, and, often, the subject's age. In this review, technical and microscopic details of liver biopsy in NAFLD are discussed.
