Optomechanical-Solitons-Assisted Acoustic Detection in an Optical Microcavity

Abstract

We study acoustic sensing in the optomechanical soliton regime using an optical microtoroid. The optomechanical soliton can assist the detection of low-frequency acoustic signals and a 12dB enhancement was demonstrated in the experiments.
