Abstract
PSE&G has been involved for some years in developing the concept of supplementation of interstate natural gas by blending with refinery gas, substitute natural gas from hydrocarbons, hydrogen, and gas from biodegradeable wastes. This paper summarizes: (1) pre-operational tests and commercial experience with refinery gas as a supplement to natural gas in a segment of the PSE&G utility grid, (2) results from results study conducted for the U. S. DOE on the utilization of hydrogen.
