N2 - Oncogene-induced senescence (OIS) is thought to be a barrier to malignant transformation resulting from the strong activation of oncogenes. In this issue of Cancer Cell, Damsky and colleagues suggest activation of mTORC1 and mTORC2 is required for OIS evasion in human melanomas harboring oncogenic BRAF mutations.
