Abstract

Reactive nitrogen species (Nr) have been shown to be important drivers for indoor air quality. Here we present a novel instrument for measuring the total Nr species budget and key species, suitable for indoor environments. This instrument was deployed successfully in a commercial kitchen, where a significant fraction of the tNr was not accounted for by NOx, HONO and basic Nr species. Acetonitrile (ACN) was likely a major component of this missing tNr.
