Abstract

Venous stenting has become an attractive strategy for management of iliocaval venous obstruction. The advent of dedicated venous stents has improved options for care of patients with iliocaval venous pathology. Proper workup, planning, and patient selection are key. Careful attention to operative technique, including the use of intravascular ultrasound and ensuring adequate inflow, can lead to symptom relief, wound healing, and long-term patency.
