Abstract
This introduction to Innovations in Psychological Anthropology discusses some pivotal moments in the history of the subdiscipline and how they have contributed to psychological anthropology’s relative isolation from the rest of anthropology. It highlights three themes around which the book is organized—legacies, dis/abilities and the subject of anthropology, and refusals and silences—and provides an overview of the forthcoming text.
