Abstract

Rat basophilic leukemia cells which bind rat IgE release particulate material as they lose viability. This material appears to contain the surface receptors for IgE in their native form. Up to 80% of the receptor activity was recovered in a fraction which contains only 4 to 5% of the total cellular protein.
