Abstract
The evaluation of vestibular complaints is not always straight-forward. Fortunately, a number of developments in the clinical and laboratory assessment of patients with dizziness have led to more accurate and timely diagnosis of these complex disorders. New understanding and insight into the underlying pathophysiology of vestibular disorders in conjunction with technologic advancements have led to significant improvements in the clinical and laboratory evaluation of vestibular disease. This review summarizes recent advances in both clinical and laboratory vestibular assessment.
