N2 - A case of injection injury to the median nerve is presented and the literature reviewed with respect to pathogenesis, prevention, and outcome. At the present time, all injectable anesthetic agents are neurotoxic. As this case illustrates, direct intrafascicular injection of these agents can result in devastating and permanent impairment. All clinicians must take steps in order to prevent these iatrogenic injuries from occurring.
