Abstract
The isotopic and elemental composition of the inert gases has been studied in CO2 and N2 water shows in the South Pamir. There is a small contribution (1%) from juvenile He to the gases of the hot springs in some regions. On the whole, 3He/4He is close to the crustal values. Radiogenic Ar occurs almost everywhere. The abundances of nonradiogenic (atmospheric) inert gases in the springs in question are governed by the outgassing of the water, which in turn is dependent on the gas factor. -from Journal summary
