Abstract
In Nature Communications, Hu, Feng, and their colleagues present a scalable, facile method to tune the hydrophobicity of CO2 reduction gas diffusion electrodes by adding polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) nanopowder into the catalyst ink. For a copper catalyst CO2 reduction electrode, the additive significantly enhances CO2 reduction performance and imparts persistent hydrophobicity.
