Abstract

The increasing use of the arthroscope had allowed the delineation of new procedures to avoid major procedures. One area where minimal intervention may be useful is in the amelioration of hip symptoms in young and active patients with symptomatic arthritic changes. This article delineates some of the key algorithms in deciding on arthroscopic debridement for the improvement of symptoms associated with early degeneration.
