Abstract

The authors found a greater degree of histologic improvement in three patients who had liver biopsy more than 2 years after HBsAg seroconversion. Progression of chronic hepatitis B did not occur when HBeAg and HBsAg and biochemical manifestations of disease remained undetectable during prolonged follow-up in seven patients.
