Abstract
A brief description of two firms, Design Continuum and Templin Brink Design was presented. They use found materials as the jumping-off point to spark creative directions and establish clear criteria with their clients. In 19998, Design Continuum instituted the Visual Library to provide a starting point for designers and clients alike. The team of Templin Brink Design creates a Design Precedent Book, tabloid-sized ledger that captures the visual and conceptual foundation for the project through found examples of design, photography and illustration.
