N1 - Funding Information:
Funding for the course initially came from a pilot grant from Washington University, and has been further supported by educational grants and in-kind support from industry. Some up-front capital equipment purchases that included central and IV-line manikins, laparoscopic surgery trainer boxes, and surgical instrument sets for suturing practice were made for our course. A list of essential equipment for our fourth year course is listed in Box 1 . Current annual capital cost per student for the course is approximately $300. Education coordinator's support time for planning and execution of the course, including class time, has ranged from 50 to 60 hours. Additional staff time may be needed for assessment and will vary, depending on what skills are tested and whether testing is done baseline as well as post course.
