Abstract
The need for cellular cooperative interactions involving macrophages, thymic derived T lymphocytes, and Ig bearing B lymphocytes has been pointed out in a multiplicity of systems over the past several years. This paper reviews some of the functions of macrophages in immune induction and points out some of the problems and difficulties as well as possible areas for future exploration.
