Abstract

Abstract – Objective – To demonstrate the utility of a modified Process Evaluation Rating Sheet (PERS) for analyzing implementation quality and program efficacy in a workplace weight loss program. Methods – Healthcare system workgroups formed teams to implement weight loss activities between 2018-2020. We used Spearman correlations and hierarchical regressions to examine associations between implementation quality captured by the modified PERS and program efficacy outcomes such as organizational health climate and supervisor support measured by the Multifaceted Organizational Health Climate Assessment (MOHCA) and Job Content Questionnaire (JCQ). Results – 407 workers from 11 workgroups participated. Workgroups with high PERS scores sustained improvement in MOHCA and JCQ scores. No group sustained improvements at 24-months. Conclusion – Implementation quality was associated with program efficacy, but the association faded over time. Utilizing the modified PERS may enhance evaluation of workplace health behavior change programs.
