Abstract
In Nature Catalysis, Seger and colleagues explored degradation in CO electrolysis using operando wide-angle X-ray scattering, pinpointing cathodic flooding and iridium contamination as key issues. Increasing polytetrafluoroethylene in the cathode and using an alkaline-stable nickel-based anode resulted in a stable performance of over 70% Faradaic efficiency for multi-carbon products.
