Abstract
Patients with severe chronic venous insufficiency and stasis ulceration should be carefully studied in the vascular laboratory. For patients with perforator incompetence, SEPS procedure should be performed simultaneously with correction of any existing superficial venous abnormalities. Morbidity is minimized and postoperative recovery and ulcer healing are expedited by using a minimally invasive approach to perforator venous surgery.
