This chapter focuses on endovascular management of carotid and vertebral artery disorders that may lead to stroke, including atherosclerotic stenosis and dissection. Information on intra-arterial thrombolysis for the treatment of acute embolic stroke is also provided, because this technique may be useful for managing complications associated with these arterial abnormalities.
