Abstract

EPR studies of 1,4,6-trimethylpyrimidin-2-ones were reported at 77 K. The EPR signals were attributed to the 3ππ* phosphorescent state based on the measured zero-field splittings (D/hc = ±0.0977 cm-1 and E/hc = ∓0.0204 ± 0.0005 cm-1) and the triplet decay lifetime (0.2 s).
