Duodenal Tumours

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

Duodenal tumours are encountered relatively infrequently and may be benign or malignant in behaviour. Appropriate surgical therapy for duodenal tumours can range from endoscopic piecemeal removal to radical surgical resection. The surgical approach is typically governed by tumour type, tumour size, and tumour location within the duodenum. This chapter reviews the relevant anatomy of the duodenum, its most common tumour types, and surgical strategies employed to treat these tumours.
