Abstract

The authors attempt to implement a single shot diffusion weighted imaging sequence and verify its quantitative accuracy in phantoms. An automated instant diffusion imaging protocol capable of acquiring multiple diffusion weighted images without operator intervention was investigated. Finally, the repeatability of the proposed imaging method in phantoms and volunteers was characterized. Results indicate that the proposed technique yields accurate results in phantoms.
