Abstract

A monoclonal antibody prepared against U937 human histiocytic lymphoma cells was used to identify an Mr 150,000 glycoprotein. Its expression on the surfaces of blood cells appeared to be restricted to U937 cells. The glycoprotein was detected in high quantities in homogenates of many cells and tissues. This indicated that, among blood cells, the Mr 150,000 glycoprotein is a differentiation related surface antigen of human histiocytic lymphoma cells.
